Call for Papers – AOGS

Currently, we are preparing a Theme Issue on Pelvic Floor in relation to pregnancy, childbirth and urogynecology, to communicate recent advances and emerging new knowledge in clinical science related to pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of pelvic floor disorders. We would like to invite the researchers with a special interest in different aspects of the pelvic floor in relation to childbirth and urogynecology to submit original research articles, reviews and commentaries.

 

Topics of interest for this call for papers include but are not restricted to:

• Imaging and other diagnostic tools of the pelvic floor;
• Pelvic floor during pregnancy;
• Pelvic floor during childbirth;
• Pelvic floor muscle injuries and perineal tears;
• Pelvic floor disorders in short and long term after delivery;
• Urinary and anal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, sexual function and pain;
• Conservative and surgical treatment of pelvic floor disorders;
• Woman and partners experiences of childbirth related pelvic floor trauma and pelvic floor disorders;
• Quality of life and pelvic floor disorders;
• Socioeconomic burden of pelvic floor disorders.

Submission Guidelines/Instructions:

Manuscripts with a clear focus on challenging clinical issues will be prioritized. All papers will have to go through the regular review process. The deadline for submission is 31^st December, 2025.
